The Peach Bandit in progress -

I've only spent a few evenings on The Bandit, but I'm already into my third repeat of the body chart. Of course, the rows are still rather short at this point, but I'm definitely enjoying the process. This pattern is the perfect type of lace for me - complicated enough to keep me interested, but simple enough that I'm not losing my mind. It's also a nice way to practice "reading" my knitting as I go.
I got the chance to work on this a bit yesterday over a long breakfast/lunch meet-up with my Twitter Knitter pal @mizelissa. So, please note that I was knitting lace and having a conversation at the same time. Shocking! I did tuck The Bandit neatly into my bag once we ordered "brunch" cocktails, though. I'm no fool.

Happy knitting!

Very cute! I love that starting point in shawl knitting where the rows are still pretty short :)
I love little shawlettes! That one is on my list to knit and I love the colour of the yarn you are using.
Very nice piece. Love the color!
I love the color of your new Bandit. I think you can see the texture better in both this one and the one you gave to your mom, than in the color pictured on the original pattern. I'm off to favorite yours. : )
It would seem we have a shawl epidemic brewing at WIPW! They're multiplying like crazy. I especially love the color you chose for this one. It's warm and spring-y all at the same time. Pretty!
I am very impressed that you can knit lace and talk at the same time. My attempts always end in failure. Such a pretty color. No doubt your mom will love this one.
I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon with my comment of: "Love the color!"
I love it and it's very impressive that you can talk and knit lace at the same time! The color is so pretty. Not many people seem to knit with a peach color.
rapsonThat peachy colour will be gorgeous for summer. Talking and knitting lace is one thing (that is waayyy beyond my ability), but obviously you are smart enough to live by the motto "friends don't let friends knit drunk" : )
You are going to break out the sewing machine one day...but then again, why, when you are such a wonderful knitter! I met a friend at the LYS which is also a cafe. We sat, ate, and talked. We didn't knit (my knitting was at a sit and think point) and then considered buying MORE yarn! Clearly I have a problem. I am thinking about Corinne in the new Knitty.
Can I ask how you made your "connect" buttons on the top right of your blog. I have spent hours researching - finally found a blog that explains how to do custom ones but haven't got around to trying it. If you have an easier way I'd love to know.
Have a good day!
lovely color. Looking forward to seeing it completed. Nice work!
the peach bandit is SO pretty! are you sure you're not going to want to keep it for yourself? can't wait to see your effortless cardigan!
That looks lovely. Beautiful color!
